Fishleg

Fishleg Studios was founded in July of 2000 with the goal of bringing high-end web and digital applications within the realm of affordability to even the smallest business.

Since then, we have formed strategic partnerships with several Jacksonville, Florida advertising and marketing firms -- delivering specialist programming, design and consulting services for their clients' digital projects. We also have a roster of our own, smaller clients whom we contract for directly.

The Web and digital delivery have changed inherently since their inception. We believe that sound design and implementation is rooted in allowing the client to have full control over their content and delivery -- without the need to program or be an artist.

Fishleg's primary goal is to enable our clients to deliver electronic media with previously unheard of levels of ease and functionality.

The Name

Every meeting we've been in to date invariably begins with the same question: "How did you come up with Fishleg?"

To set the record straight, we know fish do not have legs. Although, as we did over some beers, one may argue this fact based on the Coelacanth, a once believed extinct species of fish, discovered off of the coast of Madagascar in 1938. The coelacanth is a lobe-finned fish with the pectoral and anal fins on fleshy stalks supported by bone and was believed to have given rise to the land vertibrates.

Just as fish once evolved legs in place of fins to adapt to life on land, we're constantly refining and improving the experience of delivering and consuming digital media -- a very personal experience in an impersonal medium. Hence the fusion of organic and mechanical in our logo.

Once and for all: the name Fishleg studios comes from the inherent evolution of digital media, just as television evolved from radio in the 20th century.

When new media evolve, they don't supplant existing delivery methods -- they compliment and extend them.

Add a bit of our personalities, and a healthy amount of brew.
